Specialising in high-quality compression moulded and extruded rods, we offer a wide range of diameters and lengths suitable for today's modern machining.
Using our proprietary in-house manufacturing process, we are able to produce low-stress PTFE rods in lengths up to 2000 mm (78”), specifically designed for high-precision machining within exceptionally tight tolerance bands. This capability is unique to Fluorocarbon, with no other manufacturer worldwide able to offer the same combination of length, stability, and precision.
Our specialist processing equipment and wide tooling range are able to convert high performance and melt processable fluoropolymer materials including PTFE, PEEK, PCTFE and FEP into rod and tube. Materials are conditioned and stress-relieved to ensure optimum quality for modern day machining centres.
Materials
Our company Fluorinoid® register, based on elastomer, PTFE and thermoplastic technologies includes over 500 virgin and filled grades that offer exceptional characteristics enabling them to operate in demanding environmental conditions at temperatures to over 300°C. We work with customers to recommend solutions to suit their specific applications and can develop new materials where required.
