PCTFE

PCTFE, Kel- F® or Neoflon® is a homopolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene.

Fluorocarbon is one of only a few manufacturers globally with the capability to process and machine PCTFE, a semi-crystalline fluoropolymer offering a unique combination of mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and low gas permeability.

PCTFE exhibits excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and maintains its physical properties across a wide temperature range (–240°C to +150°C), making it particularly suitable for cryogenic and high-vacuum applications. Its rigidity and creep resistance outperform many other fluoropolymers, ensuring reliable long-term performance in demanding environments.

We offer PCTFE in stock as rods, tubes, sheet and machined components, produced to tight tolerances using our advanced CNC machining capabilities. Typical applications include valve seats, seals, spacers, bearings, and insulation components used in aerospace, cryogenics, chemical processing, and instrumentation industries.
